Mini Workshop

Invitation to Feynman Integrals and
Multiple Zeta Values

Date: December 1st–3rd, 2026
Venue: Tohoku University, Sendai, Japan

Description

Feynman integrals and multiple zeta values are important research subjects appearing at the interface of mathematics and theoretical physics, with many intriguing connections between them.

The main feature of this workshop is a series of introductory lectures on Feynman integrals by Prof. Johannes Henn (Max Planck Institute for Physics). The lectures will start with an introduction to Feynman integrals and graph polynomials and, time permitting, will proceed to topics such as canonical differential equations, positive geometry of integrands, Stieltjes-type analyticity of integrated functions, rational Padé approximants, and positivity properties of physical observables related to scattering amplitudes.

In addition to the introductory lectures, the workshop will feature research talks on recent developments in Feynman integrals, multiple zeta values, and related topics. One of the main aims of the workshop is to promote interaction between researchers working in these two areas and to provide an opportunity to exchange ideas across the boundary between mathematics and physics.

We hope that this workshop will serve as a starting point for building further connections between the communities working on Feynman integrals and multiple zeta values.

Notice for Participants

Pre-registration information will be announced later. Participants from both the mathematics and physics communities, including graduate students and researchers interested in learning about Feynman integrals and multiple zeta values, are very welcome to attend. Banquet will be held on 2nd (Wednesday) from 17:00 at Momiji Dining 2nd floor. Online registration before October 30th is required. registration form
